12:19 a.m. A barking dog complaint was received from the 100 block of Spruce Street.

2:04 a.m. A possible drunken driver was reported at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The driver was sober.

2:09 a.m. A disturbance was reported in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive. The parties were gone when Steamboat Springs police arrived.

3:29 a.m. Two possibly drunken pedestrians were reportedly trying to flag down cars at Mount Werner Road and Steamboat Boulevard. The men were lost.

9:05 a.m. A man was reported hitchhiking and using rude gestures at Pine Grove Road and South Lincoln Avenue. The man was being picked up when police arrived.

9:22 a.m. A lost cell phone was reported at the Steamboat Ski Area.

10:07 a.m. A barking dog complaint was received from the 200 block of Valverdant Court.

11:05 a.m. Harassment was reported in Yampa, where two women had an argument over the telephone. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating.

11:06 a.m. An ambulance was requested in Steamboat Springs, where a cross-country skier injured her knee. The woman was transported the hospital.

11:51 a.m. A dog at large was reported in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza. The animal was gone when police arrived.

Noon. A man was reported hitchhiking at Eagle Ridge Drive and Walton Creek Road. Police gave a warning.

1:19 p.m. Police received a theft report for a pair of skis stolen Wednesday from a parking lot in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. Police took a report.

3:04 p.m. A pair of skis valued at $600 was reported stolen at the Steamboat Ski Area. Sheriff's Office deputies took a report.

3:15 p.m. Police received a complaint about a skateboarder on Hilltop Parkway. Police gave a warning.

3:45 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Routt County Sheriff's Office.

4:01 p.m. Theft was reported at the Steamboat Ski Area, where a man was improperly using someone else's season lift pass. Sheriff's Office deputies issued a summons.

5:59 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The man was gone when police arrived.

6:26 p.m. A Steamboat Springs woman was arrested on an outstanding theft warrant.

8:41 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 1900 block of Ski Time Square Drive. Police said everything was fine.

11:05 p.m. A noise complaint was received from the 1300 block of Athens Plaza. Police gave a warning.

11:10 p.m. Theft was reported in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police took a report. No further information was available.

11:30 p.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive. Police said everything was fine.

Is it just me or doe's it seem like we have a sex offender regerstering every other day here. Thats kind of creepy! Then again, maybe it's the same guy who has been couch surfing and has to give his address to the cops every time he moves. It's something to think about!

Got a better question:

With housing prices so high around here, and rentals being tight, where do these guys live, and what do they do for a living? When so-called "working families" cannot find affordable housing but sex offenders are moving in weekly, doesn't that raise a few eyebrows?
