— A mom and her daughter were involved in a one-car rollover accident on U.S. Highway 40 just east of Milner this morning.

The mom, who was driving, suffered minor injuries. The daughter was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure, according to a Colorado State Patrol trooper on scene.

The accident didn't result in any lane closures, and traffic was flowing at a normal pace by 8:15 a.m. Wednesday. It is unclear what caused the rollover.

On Tuesday, State Patrol Trooper David Kerker cautioned motorists to drive slower now that winter has arrived in the Yampa Valley. He said the stretch of highway between Craig and Steamboat Springs can be particularly dangerous in the morning because of snowmelt that freezes on the roadway overnight.
