12:18 a.m. An animal complaint was received from Huckleberry Lane, where a dog had been barking and crying for four hours. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies were unable to contact the owners.

6:59 a.m. A 22-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop near mile marker 143 on U.S. Highway 40 on suspicion of driving under suspension, speeding and expired tags.

9:42 a.m. A cow was reported standing in the road on Whitewood Drive West.

9:58 a.m. A vehicle complaint was received from Routt County Road 44 and C.R. 44C, where a car hit a yield sign and nearly struck a pedestrian. Sheriff's Office deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

11:20 a.m. An abandoned vehicle was reported at Morrison Cove in Stagecoach Lake State Park.

12:02 p.m. A two-vehicle, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 800 block of Yampa Street. There were no injuries. Police took a report.

1:03 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Steamboat Springs Police Department.

1:29 p.m. A missing child was reported in Steamboat Springs, where a girl was late returning to her house. She came home safely a short time later.

2:18 p.m. Harassment was reported in the 21200 block of C.R. 16, as part of dispute between a resident and a contractor about ongoing work.

2:50 p.m. A vehicle complaint was received from Walton Creek Road, where a motorcycle was speeding. The Colorado State Patrol located the vehicle and issued a ticket.

2:53 p.m. Four horses were reported loose on C.R. 25 about 100 yards outside Oak Creek town limits.

3:37 p.m. A dog at large was reported in the 1400 block of Blue Sage Drive. Police issued citation.

4:09 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 6100 block of West U.S. 40, where a man reportedly said that he had killed someone and was planning to dump the body at Yampa River State Park. Colorado State Parks rangers, Hayden police and Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene and determined that the man's statements were not true and that no criminal activity had taken place.

4:28 p.m. Two teenagers reportedly were skateboarding in the street in unincorporated Routt County. They were gone when Sheriff's Office deputies arrived.

4:56 p.m. A 50-year-old Steamboat Springs man turned himself in for two outstanding warrants at the Routt County Sheriff's Office.

8:08 p.m. A disturbance was reported in the 700 block of Deerfoot Arts Park Drive. One person was taken to detox.

8:39 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the 31100 block of C.R. 64, where a man approached a house to ask for water.The reporting party did not want to let him in because they did not know the person. The man was fine.

10:10 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a man in Hayden, who was making suicidal threats. Everything was fine.

11:20 p.m. A small brushfire was reported alongside U.S. 40 near Dream Island Plaza. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue extinguished the flames.

11:52 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a 15-year-old girl in Oak Creek whose mother left her home alone. She was fine.

11:55 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 1900 block of Ski Time Square Drive, where an unknown object struck and broke a driver's mirror. Police took a report.
