SSHS Class of 1958 to hold reunion

Entrants sought for Chuck Wagon Chili Challenge
The annual Downtown Hoedown/Chuck Wagon Chili Challenge has combined forces with the Festival of the Americas for a fun, multi-cultural event, the "South Meets the West Festival," from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 on 12th Street next to Little Toots Park in Steamboat Springs. Mainstreet Steamboat Springs and Integrated Community are seeking contestants for the chili challenge in red, green and firehouse categories. This year, two new categories have been added: salsa and cornbread. Test your recipes against the best in the region. In addition to the chili challenge, there will be live music and entertainment on two stages, children's activities, vendors and beer/beverage sales. VNA offering help for quitting tobacco
The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is offering free nicotine patches and gum for four weeks. Call the QuitLine at 800-QUITNOW or 784-8669. Pick up a free Tobacco-Free Quit Kit at the Steamboat VNA office, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101, or in Craig at 745 Russell St.
Library closed during move; seeking volunteers
Bud Werner Memorial Library is closed to the public through Sept. 12, to allow for the moving of collections and set-up in the new library building. During closure, there are no overdue fines and bookdrops will remain open. Visit www.steamboatlibrary.org to track your library account, request books for pickup at the Colorado Mountain College library, find information on this year's Literary Sojourn; and contact library staff via e-mail.
