Phippsburg water use restrictions lifted Thursday
Water use restrictions in the Phippsburg area were lifted at about noon Thursday, as repairs to the town's only water line were completed, said Routt County Department of Environmental Health Director Mike Zopf.
After the water levels in Phippsburg's only well dipped to 50 percent July 22, the county asked residents to limit their water usage until the leak was fixed. About 120 homes in the Phippsburg area were affected.
"We're going to continue to evaluate the system and make additional repairs as our resources allow," Zopf said. "The system has been in the ground for almost 30 years."
