Town Challenge bike race postponed

Steamboat Springs — The Town Challenge Mountain Bike Series event scheduled for today has been postponed because of the weather.
The Dog Days of Summer Cross-Country race on Howelsen Hill was rescheduled for Aug. 13, said Gretchen Sehler, the series race director.
The start times will stay the same as originally planned, with the 6-and-under class kicking things off with a 5:25 p.m. start. Then, a staggered start schedule will spread the field across the course, finishing with the professional class starting at 6 p.m.
