6 a.m. Officers scared off a bear from the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue for a woman who was afraid to go outside because the bear was eating trash. Officers also issued someone a ticket for not having a wildlife-proof trash container.
9:09 a.m. A woman's purse reportedly was stolen out of her car in the 700 block of Yahmonite Street.
9:13 a.m. A man was taken to the hospital from near Colorado 131 and Routt County Road 27 to be treated for minor injuries he suffered during a car accident. Colorado State Patrol Trooper Melissa Fowler said the man apparently hit a tree after swerving to avoid a deer. He hit his head on the driver's side window, and then hit his head a second time after he slipped while getting out of his car. No other injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation.
9:54 a.m. A man reported being harassed by a co-worker at their place of business. A report was taken.
10:09 a.m. A small propane tank exploded in the 39000 block of C.R. 80 in Hayden. No injuries and little damage was reported.
10:45 a.m. Several construction tools reportedly were stolen from the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. A report was taken.
11:21 a.m. A man updated his sex offender registration at the police department.
11:33 a.m. A man driving a 1994 Contour hit a boulder and cracked his radiator in the 800 block of Weiss Circle.
4:09 p.m. A gun reportedly was stolen from the 29000 block of Rock Point Trail. The incident is under investigation.
5:05 p.m. A truck reportedly hit a bicyclist in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue. No injuries were reported, and someone was cited for the accident.
5:21 p.m. A man reported seeing a child dragging a cat around on a leash and throwing the cat in a puddle. Officers talked to the boy and his parents about the incident.
5:41 p.m. A clothes dryer caught fire in the 40000 block of Steamboat Drive. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which was isolated to the dryer. No injuries were reported.
5:48 p.m. A man reported receiving a threatening text message from an ex-girlfriend.
6:59 p.m. Officers reported finding "three little dents" in a new Chevrolet Tahoe police vehicle. A report was taken.
7:32 p.m. A bear reportedly knocked over trash cans in a trailer park in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue. The bear was gone when officers arrived.
10:58 p.m. Two Colorado Mountain College students were issued tickets for smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol in a brown van in a college parking lot. A third person ran off, police said.
