Steamboat Springs Sunday, Sept. 16
12:10 a.m. Steamboat Springs police officers responded to U.S. Highway 40 near Mount Werner Road after a pedestrian reportedly kicked traffic cones into the road.
12:12 a.m. Police officers responded to a disturbance at a hotel in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. A female guest at the hotel was escorted to detox. No criminal charges were filed.
12:24 a.m. A mountain bike was reported stolen in the 3300 block of Meadow Lane.
1:52 a.m. Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a motorist for driving under the influence at Pine Grove Road and Mount Werner Circle.
10:56 a.m. Police responded to a report that a child was not properly restrained in a vehicle in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. Officers could not locate the vehicle.
11:32 a.m. A woman called to report that her daughter was being followed.
12:26 p.m. Officers responded to a one-vehicle, noninjury accident in the 1400 block of Lincoln Avenue. A driver backed into a concrete light pole.
3:09 p.m. A falling tree limb in the 800 block of Yampa Street damaged an unmarked Steamboat Springs police vehicle.
5:01 p.m. A woman turned in a found purse to the lobby of the Steamboat Springs Police Department on Yampa Street.
6:45 p.m. A noise complaint was reported in the 400 block of Washington Street in Hayden.
9:29 p.m. A homeowner in the 2200 block of Val D'Isere Circle called police for help in scaring away a bear.
11:14 a.m. A Ukrainian man was arrested on Walton Pond Circle for DUI and careless driving.
