The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors has recognized Colorado Group Realty's Jill Limberg and Anchor Realty's Wendy Fisher as co-winners of its Realtor of the Year Award. The awards were presented at the board's annual banquet.
Limberg, a member since 1995, is the managing broker-owner of Colorado Group Realty, a past president of the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors, and a former Realtor of the Year.
Fisher, a 15-year member, is the managing broker-owner of Anchor Realty, and has served as president and treasurer of the Board of Directors.
Also recognized was Kathryn Pedersen, who was honored as Affiliate Partner of the Year, for outstanding volunteer participation for the second straight year. Pedersen is the vice president and mortgage officer at First National Bank of Steamboat Springs.
Kemp comes to Colorado Ski Country USA
Colorado Ski Country USA, the nonprofit trade association representing 26 Colorado ski and snowboard resorts including Steamboat Ski Area, has appointed industry veteran Amy Kemp as its communications director.
Kemp will lead Denver-based CSCUSA in positioning Colorado as the industry leader and premier winter destination, in hopes of sustaining the state's 12-million skier benchmark which has been reached the past two seasons. She also will lead new programs for the association, including a statewide Learn to Ski and Snowboard program and efforts to increase diversity on the slopes.
Workshop offered for aspiring entrepreneurs
Yampa Valley SCORE volunteers will lead a Next Steps workshop in November for entrepreneurs looking to start their own business and small-business owners looking to improve their management skills.
The workshop costs $100, or $60 for individuals who have attended a 1st Steps program in the past year, and will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 5 through 8, at Colorado Mountain College.To register, contact Randy Rudasics at 870-4491 or email@example.com.
