Steamboat Springs It doesn't make sense for citizens of Steamboat Springs to pay for a facility that is in direct competition with an established nonprofit business. It also doesn't make sense that the residents of our city would have to pay for it twice - once in property tax and once for a membership, if they choose to do so.
It does make sense that the "city" (that's us, folks), which already has major traffic and parking problems, might better spend part of that $34 million on improving our infrastructure.
We just might not have been given enough details on the "real" costs of this project. Now, it is up to you, the voter. No is the way to go on 2B and 2C.
Remember to vote.
