Betty Leipold: Steamboat factories

— I am not surprised by the size and looks of the new buildings on Lincoln Avenue. The original drawings make them appear so massive that I remarked at the time that Lincoln Avenue would look like the 2500 block of Walnut Street in Denver. There, the buildings are industrial, and there is a railroad track running down the middle of the street.

These buildings are shaping up to be completely out of character with what Steamboat looked like. And with the dark-clad windows, they look like factories. Steamboat is indeed "over-Cooked."
