Former councilman Brenner moves closer to state Senate run
Former Steamboat Springs City Council president Ken Brenner is inching closer to a 2008 bid for state Senate. Brenner announced Saturday that he filed the necessary paperwork with the Colorado Secretary of State's Office to run for the open Senate District 8 seat.

Steamboat briefs for Nov. 19
Routt County United Way and Wells Fargo Bank are sponsoring the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church at 524 Oak Street. All are welcome.
