12:16 a.m. A missing persons report was filed at the Routt County Sheriff's Office. No further information was available.

3:29 a.m. Police received a complaint a vehicle parked in the road at the intersection of Alpenglow and AprÃs Ski ways. The vehicle was deemed to be a traffic hazard and impounded. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful.

8:44 a.m. A bicycle found at the intersection of Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue was turned in to the police.

8:48 a.m. A mountain bike was reported stolen in the 2000 block of Montview Road. The bike was apparently taken about a week ago.

9:21 a.m. Vandalism was reported on 13th Street. Graffiti had been sprayed on a bridge.

11:08 a.m. A store in the 1700 block of Ski Time Square reported that lenses had been stolen from an expensive pair of goggles. Police are investigating.

12:08 p.m. A man was arrested for shoplifting food in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

12:35 p.m. A property manager reported vandalism and property damage at a housing unit in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle.

12:53 p.m. Police were called to mediate a civil complaint between two parties who share a vehicle in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.

2:13 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Steamboat Springs Police Department.

2:21 p.m. Debris was reported on U.S. Highway 40 near Anglers Drive, where a dump truck had spilled gravel in the roadway. The Colorado Department of Transportation was dispatched to clean it up.

4:20 p.m. A sex offender registered at the Steamboat Springs Police Department.

4:44 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive, where individuals were attempting to sell home theater equipment out of a vehicle. The parties were gone when officers arrived.

6:47 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 2300 block of Ski Trail Court. There was no fire and the alarm went off in error due to a system problem.

10:29 p.m. An officer was called to a backyard bonfire in the 2700 block of Walton Creek Road. A verbal warning was given, and the fire was put out.

10:47 p.m. Police escorted a woman concerned about her safety to her vehicle.

I've got a better one for you. Since the registration was with the SSPD instead of RCSO, we must assume this sex offender can afford to live in Steamboat Springs. That's scary, isn't it?
