Church seeks pianist for Sunday services

Fairway Face-Off golf tournament is June 11

The Fairway Face-Off golf tournament, a benefit for the Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association, is June 11 at the Catamount Ranch & Club. The format is four-person scramble, $125 a player, which includes golf, lunch and goodie bag. Check-in and barbecue lunch is at 11 a.m., and golfing begins at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start. Awards and a silent auction will follow golf. Individual players are welcome. Meeting for business owners is Wednesday

Businesses interested in employing those with disabilities or those who already work with or employ people with disabilities are encouraged to attend a Business Advisory Council meeting held by Vocational Rehabilitation and Horizons Specialized Services.

The meeting is open to anyone in the public who is interested in learning more about raising awareness of people with disabilities in a job setting. The goal of the meeting also is to provide more information to those who have hired people with disabilities by offering a forum for questions, success stories, etc.

The meeting is from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Centennial Hall's Crawford Room on 10th Street.

Wild Edible Feast fundraiser is Friday

The eighth annual Wild Edible Feast, a fundraiser for Yampatika, is from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Catamount Ranch and Club. The cost is $75 a person. Seating is limited; RSVP to 871-9151 or register online at

The Wild Edible Feast is a gourmet dining experience featuring foods made from ingredients native to the Yampa Valley. The event also includes a silent auction. Yampatika is a nonprofit environmental organization that provides educational and interpretive services for the better understanding of the natural and cultural resources of Northwest Colorado.

Rio 24 Hours bike race seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for the fourth annual Rio 24 Hours of Steamboat bike race from noon June 9 to noon June 10. Volunteers are needed for aid stations, the post-ride barbecue and registration. E-mail or call 879-0480.

Newborn Network needs caring volunteers

Did you know that more than 400 children are born each year in Routt County? Do you have between two and four hours a month to visit families in your community and celebrate the birth of their child?

Help all children in Routt County get off to a bright beginning by becoming a Newborn Network volunteer. On request from the family, a volunteer provides a home visit, which includes a gift bag and information about community resources and child development. A volunteer training is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 29. For more, call 879-0977.
