Jack Horner: Dowd offensive

Does freedom of speech only apply to (Maureen) Dowd? I don't always agree with (Ann) Coulter in her views. I do find her recent statements far less objectionable than Dowd's repeated degrading and blasting of our country's president. It is my opinion these editorials are harmful to the patriotism of this country. If Dowd's columns are accepted and Coulter's are rejected, it simply illustrates the leanings of our media and the new residents of our valley. If Coulter goes, who is going to be next in your publication's choices?

Jack Horner

Dowd and Coulter are truly the same person with different hair color...depending on whose color is still real. They both feed their columns off of their insecurities. No difference between them.

Careful review of Jack Horner's letter reveals no admiration towards the President but rather a definite dislike of Maureen Dowd. Horner points out that Dowd's column affects patriotism for the United States of America and the "office" of the Presidency.

Your berating of Horner achieves nothing but to reveal your own ascerbity. It is amply evident that you do not admire nor support the President; on what appears to be a more personal disdain rather than the office of Presidency and its due respect.

Horner appears to draw an inference to the notion that if the paper wields an axe to a conservative pundit, what's to stop it (the editor) from censoring another column in the future.

Review of the Question of The Week indicates that there are more in favor of keeping Coulter's column than those favoring its cessation by the Editor and staff.

It is no surprise that little Jack Horner is in a corner with the few remaining idiots who choose to still think that this nation has a viable president. I got news for you corner boy: the freaking idiot "running" this country has done more to weaken this nation than any editorial. And that if you have a brain, you might just question his "patriotism".

George W Bush does NEVER choose patriotism over partisanship. Ask the dying and wounded coming back from Iraq if a tax-cut for little w's country-club friends is more important than they are. The true answer is this: Yes it is.

Maureen Dowd does NEVER bring the kind of pure hatred and unadulterated spite that the classless Coulter does. I'm sick of the two being compared. George W Bush is actually even worse than Dowd makes him out to be. He is the greatest friend that the AXIS of EVIL ever had. He has done more damage to the United States of America than any three of our other worst presidents added together.

For Coulter to spew out her poisonous baloney in defense of this disastrous fool- that is her biggest crime.

Next week's question should then ask the same question of Dowd, to be fair. I'd bet the outcome is approximately the same. While I have no love of Dowd or Coulter, I voted no on the question because I see it as a Free Speech issue.
