Yampa Valley Medical Center seeks volunteers

Yampa Valley Medical Center is looking for volunteers interested in a new program at SportsMed. Call volunteer coordinator Mindy Fontaine at 870-1146.

Routt County 4-H

accepting new members

Membership enrollment is ongoing for Routt County 4-H. Routt County 4-H membership is open to any youth in the Routt County area, regardless of race, color, creed, sex, national origin or disabled condition. Participants must be between the ages of 5 and 18 as of Jan. 1, 2007. Stop by the Routt County Extension Service Office in the Courthouse Annex or call 879-0825 for more information.

Chili cook-off planned

in North Routt

The fifth annual Great North Routt Chili Cook-off is from 4 to 6 p.m. March 25 at Steamboat Lake Outfitters. The cost is $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 15, and there is a maximum per-family charge of $35. Food categories include red and green chili, soup and "To Die For Desserts." There will be hot dogs and chips for children, and live entertainment will be provided by 3-Wire. There also will be an auction and a cash bar. All proceeds from the event benefit the North Routt Preschool and the Hahn's Peak Area Historical Society. Judges and food entries are needed. ALS support group looking for interested members
