Hayden graduate excels at Eastern Wyoming

— Hayden's Billie Babcock was named to the President's Honor Roll at Eastern Wyoming College for the fall 2006 semester. The President's Honor Roll recognizes full-time students who achieve a 4.0 GPA.

Epp receives Optimist Club teen honor

Hayden High School senior Jennifer Epp was named the Optimist Teen of the Month for February. Epp has a 3.95 GPA and has been a member of the district's High Honor Roll since 2000. She is active in concert band, jazz band, volleyball, basketball and track and is a member of the National Honor Society. Epp also is a member of El Pomar Youth in Community Service and the Community Action Network at the high school. Epp participated in the Routt County Character and Leadership Symposium in 2006 and attended Columbine Girls State in 2006.

Outside of school, Epp is active in her church and with the community's senior citizens, organizing a Halloween party for residents at The Haven. She also is a member of 4-H and Girl Scouts.

Epp has worked at the Yampa Valley Regional Airport for C's Catering and for Passenger Services. After high school, Epp plans to enroll at the University of Wyoming or the University of Northern Colorado to get a bachelor's in nursing. She would like to pursue a master's in pediatric care or neonatal nursing.
