1:50 a.m. A 20-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and being a minor in possession. An 18-year-old Steamboat Springs woman was arrested during the same incident on suspicion of third-degree assault, harassment, being a minor in possession and criminal mischief.

6:53 a.m. A 45-year-old man was taken to the hospital from near Seventh and Yampa streets after he was involved in a car accident while suffering a seizure.

6:56 a.m. A woman reportedly saw a drunken man in the 900 block of Weiss Drive.

8:20 a.m. A woman reported a strange man talking to her son.

11:54 a.m. A bicycle reportedly was stolen from the from the first block of Jackpine Court.

12:53 a.m. A cell phone reportedly was stolen in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

1:02 p.m. Check fraud was reported in the 2400 block of Riverside Drive. The incident is under investigation.

1:38 p.m. A group of people reportedly were arguing in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

2:08 p.m. An officer directed traffic near Sixth and Yampa streets because a semitrailer was leaking oil.

2:28 p.m. A woman lost her wallet while on a bicycle tour in the 2000 block of Village Inn Court.

4:26 p.m. A sex offender registered at the police department.

6:54 p.m. A man in the 500 block of Ore House Plaza reportedly heard loud noise and thought people were smoking marijuana.

6:58 p.m. A clothes dryer reportedly caught fire in the 1000 block of Pine Street. Police said the fire was contained to the inside of the dryer, and firefighters put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

8:42 p.m. A teenager was taken to the hospital from the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway. The teen was issued a minor in possession ticket.

9:01 p.m. A bear was chased from the 2000 block of Walton Creek Road.

9:57 p.m. Police mediated a family dispute.

we need the police to come to our house to mediate a dispute, my wife thinks we should paint the bedroom again........

Two arrests for a DUI, assault, criminal mischief, and one ticket with a trip to the hospital for 3 minors in possession (in one day).... but stop the compliance checks, they may be unethical!
