2:01 a.m. Several people reportedly heard a baby crying and someone calling for help near Hilltop Parkway and Tamarack Drive. Officers were unable to find the people.

2:36 a.m. A woman reportedly slapped a man and shoved him into a fence. A report was taken.

8:33 a.m. A portable toilet reportedly caught fire near Yampa and 12th streets.

9:21 a.m. A man reported a truck occupying three parking spaces in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue.

9:40 a.m. A 49-year-old Hayden woman was arrested on a warrant.

10:42 a.m. A 47-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on Lincoln Avenue on suspicion of driving under suspension.

11:30 a.m. Someone reportedly kicked in a picket fence in the 700 block of Oak Street.

11:56 a.m. A theft was reported in the 2900 block of Village Drive.

12:21 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 2900 block of Columbine Drive.

2:05 p.m. A civil complaint regarding rent was reported in the 300 block of Storm Meadow Drive.

2:11 p.m. A man sitting in a ditch reportedly saw a woman running down Elk River Road and a man chasing her.

2:46 p.m. A man in the 1800 block of Burgess Creek Road reportedly turned on his electricity after Yampa Valley Electric Association officials turned it off. A theft of services report was taken.

3:44 p.m. A construction backhoe loading dirt reportedly caught fire near Routt County roads 27 and 33. West Routt Fire Chief Bryan Rickman said the fire consumed the backhoe's engine and cab compartments. No injuries were reported. A nearby water truck extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived, he said.

4:07 p.m. A woman lost her cell phone near Missouri Avenue and Seventh Street.

6:35 p.m. A man reportedly saw two bears "hanging out in a tree" near Eighth and Aspen streets.

7:51 p.m. A group of skateboarders reportedly was riding on the Alpine slide in the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway. The skateboarders were gone when officers arrived.

9:34 p.m. Someone reportedly saw a group of people in three separate cars smoking marijuana near Steamboat Boulevard and Fish Creek Falls Road. Officers issued someone a minor in possession ticket.

10:57 p.m. A 17-year-old Steamboat Springs boy was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. After being detained, the boy was released to his mother.

11:07 p.m. A parent reportedly was having trouble with his or her 16-year-old son. Officers mediated the situation.
