State Bridge Lodge fire ruled arson

A fire that destroyed a 117-year-old building at the State Bridge Lodge was deliberately set, possibly to cover up a burglary, investigators said.

Man on life support after motorcycle accident

Routt County resident Doug Smith, a self-employed owner of a trucking company, is on life support at the Denver Health Medical Center as a result of severe injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday on Routt County Road 33.

Longtime former Steamboat Pilot editor Helen "Dee" Richards died Sunday at Doak Walker Care Center in Steamboat Springs. She was 86.
