Elev8 Youth hosting volleyball tournament

Elev8 Youth, a local nonprofit Christian youth organization, is hosting a Mud Volleyball Tournament from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Steamboat Christian Center for students in grades seven through 12 and Class of 2007 graduates. The cost is $2 a person, which includes food and the chance to win an iPod. The winning team will receive a $200 cash prize. Teams limited to 10 people. A bus is available to shuttle students from Steamboat Springs Middle School at 1 p.m. and from the high school at 1:15 p.m.

World Park seeking renovation volunteers

The World Park Educational Institute is seeking volunteers for finishing renovations on a small educational log cabin and natural products research lab. Part-time volunteers are needed for light carpentry, cabinetry, ranch work, cultivation of herbs, work in research gardens, grant writing, bookkeeping, lab work and other jobs. Yampa Bible Church hosting Bible school

Yampa Bible Church in Yampa is hosting a vacation Bible school for children ages four to 12 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 11 to 15. Call the church at 638-4411.

Hospice Celebration at Steamboat Grand Resort

The 14th annual Hospice Celebration is June 18 at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. The money raised by this event sustains the services offered by Hospice to terminally ill patients and their families in the Yampa Valley. A Celebration of Life Dinner is at 7 p.m.; the cash bar opens at 6 p.m. There will be entertainment by Brent Rowan.
