Steamboat Springs The Steamboat Springs City Council approved three new liquor licenses Tuesday night.
The council, acting as the city's Liquor License Authority, approved licenses for Hilltop Bar & Grill, Vino Downtown and The Garage Bar. The licenses bring the total number of businesses allowed to sell alcohol within the city limits to 92.
The businesses' applications will be sent to the state for final approval before the businesses will be permitted to begin selling alcohol, said City Clerk Julie Jordan.
The council approved a hotel and restaurant liquor license for Hilltop Bar & Grill, 1000 High Point Drive. The bar has come under new management, Jordan said.
The previous managers surrendered the restaurant's liquor license, she said.
Vino Downtown at 730 Lincoln Ave. was issued a retail liquor license, and The Garage Bar inside Geek's Garage at 730 Lincoln Ave. received a tavern liquor license.
Each of the businesses submitted petitions in support of the businesses selling alcohol to the council. There was no public comment regarding the issuance of the permits.
