AARP hosts driver safety program Wednesday

AARP's Driver Safety Program is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. The eight-hour classroom refresher course is for older motorists who have many years of driving experience. The course reminds attendees of driving skills and techniques they may no longer use. The course also will provide new approaches and concepts to driving, including compensating for normal, age-related physical changes that could affect your ability to drive. State law mandates that auto insurance companies give course participants a three-year discount. The course costs $10. Call Jane at 879-0064 to register.

Hayden High School reunion being held June 9

A reunion for Hayden Union High School and Hayden High School graduates from classes 1960 to 1979 begins at noon June 9 in the Routt County Fairgrounds Pavilion. RSVP by calling Karen Gilroy at 276-3819.

DMV now operating under summer hours

The Routt County Department of Motor Vehicles is now operating under its summer hours. The office now opens at 8 a.m.

Artisans invited to Hahn's Peak event

The second annual Hahn's Peak Arts, Crafts and Antiques Fair is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25. Anyone who would like space for the fair should call Marge at 879-7291. Spaces are $30 each, with proceeds benefiting the Hahn's Peak Historical Society.
