Briefs for June 2
AARP's Driver Safety Program is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. The eight-hour classroom refresher course is for older motorists who have many years of driving experience. The course reminds attendees of driving skills and techniques they may no longer use. The course also will provide new approaches and concepts to driving, including compensating for normal, age-related physical changes that could affect your ability to drive. State law mandates that auto insurance companies give course participants a three-year discount. The course costs $10. Call Jane at 879-0064 to register.
