"7:26 p.m. Someone reported seeing a "truckload of friends" following a skateboarder down Steamboat Boulevard. The group was gone when officers arrived."

This is (at least) the second "truckload" report in the last several months that involves skateboarders. I've never skated myself, and do find it to be kind of annoying, but really, do we need (A) to call the police about skateboarders? Exactly what law are they breaking? And (B) is the hyperbole really necessary? At least you could be more creative for our entertainment. What about a "gaggle" of skateboarders? A "horde" or "posse"? Use a thesaurus next time. (Or are they traveling in a truck? If that's the case, my sincerest apologies.)

"Two inmates reportedly were fighting at Routt County Jail. A report was taken."

I expected the standard ending: "The inmates were gone by the time officers arrived"!

How about this one? "A disgruntled motorist reported a clueless fracas of skateboarders hazarding pedestrians in the construction zone near the Bookstore."

I can guarantee that if it was a woman flashing people downtown, the cops would never have been called about it.
