USDA Commodities are being distributed for the third quarter of 2007 at LIFT-UP of Routt County offices in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Oak Creek through The Emergency Food Assistance Program. Each eligible household may receive TEFAP foods once per quarter. This quarterly distribution ends Sept. 30. Food will be given on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Call 870-8804 Monday through Friday between 1 and 5 p.m. to inquire about income-eligibility and hours of operation for each office.
Strawberry Park names new principal
The Steamboat Springs School Board chose Brenda Smith Barr, most recently a principal in Colorado Springs, on Monday to run Strawberry Park Elementary School.
Hayden Daze will benefit Zabels
