Steamboat Springs — Saturday, Jan. 27

12:45 a.m. During a traffic stop on Mt. Werner Circle, a Steamboat Springs Police Department Officer arrested a 24-year-old Steamboat Springs man on suspicion of traffic misdemeanors including driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to stop for a stop sign or traffic light.

12:49 a.m. Police officers were called to the intersection of Village Drive and Walton Creek Road, where officers arrested a 30-year-old Steamboat Springs man on suspicion of misdemeanors including prohibited use of a weapon, possession of fireworks, and throwing missiles at a vehicle. Police said the man was lighting bottle rockets and throwing them at cars "right in front of the police - go figure." No injuries or property damage resulted from the incident.

1:05 a.m. A Routt County Sheriff's Office Deputy assisted a motorist on Routt County Road 14A.

1:14 a.m. An ambulance was requested at the bus stop on Weiss Drive. Police said an intoxicated person was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

2:46 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported in an underground parking lot near Ski Time Square. Police said a woman was taken to a detoxification center at the hospital. A male in the car was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

3:10 a.m. A man reported harassment on the 300 block of Little Moon Trail. Police said screaming and yelling was reported, but officers could not locate the parties involved after arriving on scene.

3:30 a.m. A woman reported loud noise on the 700 block of Weiss Drive. Police said "folks were raising a ruckus, and given a warning."

3:31 a.m. A drunken pedestrian was reported on eastbound U.S. Highway 40. Police gave the individual a courtesy ride home.

8:01 a.m. A juvenile situation was reported in Steamboat. Police said a child was reported missing but quickly found.

9:45 a.m. A man requested an ambulance on the 200 block of Howelsen Parkway. Police said a 13-year-old male hockey player was cut on the arm by a skate and transported to the hospital. Police said the cut was "a real serious laceration," but not life-threatening.

10:43 a.m. A woman reported a hit-and-run, non-injury motor vehicle accident on the 2500 block of Village Drive.

10:50 a.m. During a traffic stop at Lincoln Avenue and Old Fish Creek Falls Road, police arrested a 22-year-old Oak Creek man on suspicion of misdemeanor charges including driving under a suspended license and driving without a visible license plate number.

12:52 p.m. A juvenile situation was reported in Steamboat. Police said youth were allegedly "hood surfing" - meaning one youth would sit or stand on the hood of a vehicle while another youth drove down the road - but police found no evidence of the reported incident after arriving at the scene.

2:28 p.m. An ambulance was requested on the 2300 block of Mt. Werner Circle. Police said a woman was having seizures and transported to the hospital.

3:00 p.m. A man reported a lost driver's license on the 2800 block of Abbey Road.

3:59 p.m. A woman made an animal complaint on the 2300 block of Routt County Road 55 near Hayden.

5:55 p.m. A woman requested an ambulance on the 500 block of Rollingstone Drive. Police said an unattended death had occurred.

10:44 p.m. A juvenile situation was reported in Steamboat. Police said three juvenile runaways from Craig were found and returned to Craig.

10:48 p.m. An anonymous noise complaint was made on the 400 block of Ore House Plaza.
