YVMC's Kiddie Kuddler program needs volunteers

Begin the new year by making a difference. Volunteers are needed for Yampa Valley Medical Center's Kiddie Kuddler program and for the lobby information desk. Call volunteer coordinator Mindy Fontaine at 870-1146 to discuss available shifts and job descriptions.

ALS support group seeks interested participants

Anyone interested in joining an ALS support group is asked to call Carol Gordon of the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association at 870-3232. The monthly support group is for people with ALS or caregivers of people with ALS.

USDA Commodities being distributed at LIFT-UP

USDA Commodities are being distributed for the first quarter of 2007 at LIFT-UP of Routt County offices in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Oak Creek. The Emergency Food Assistance Program makes the commodities available for eligible households only.

Food will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 870-8804 between 1 and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for more information about income-eligibility and hours of operation for each office.
