Former Steamboat Springs resident Haroldene "Dena" Mae Lager, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Jan. 2, 2007, in Gilroy, Calif. She was 78.
Haroldene was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Denver, but considered Steamboat Springs her true home.
Haroldene was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She adored her family and the family dogs, Savannah and Chloe.
Haroldene's life was like a grand novel - it was cherished, loved and enjoyed through every chapter. She truly touched many hearts and was loved by all. She will be deeply missed.
Haroldene was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Ann.
Haroldene is survived by her ex-husband and friend, Robert Lager of Overgaard, Ariz.; her son, Bob Lager and his wife Kelli of Trophy Club, Texas; her daughters, Judith Peck of Gilroy, Calif., and Robin and her husband Tom Bohn of Gilroy, Calif.; her grandchildren, Heather and her husband John Poston of Santa Clara, Calif., Melissa and her husband Jason Ferreira of Sparks, Nev., Aaron Bohn of Portland, Ore., and Scott Lager and his wife Lori of Albuquerque, N.M.; and her great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kyle, Aryanna, Angelica, Lorena, Nikolas, Bo, Demi and ShÃ¡.
Private services have been held by Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy, Calif.
