Punch-card ballet classes registration

— Registration is Monday and Tuesday for Northwest Ballet of Steamboat Springs' punch-card classes. Classes are available for adults and children seven and older. The classes run from January through May. Call 871-1880 or visit for more information.

Accepting Diamond Hitch Parade applications

The 94th Winter Carnival is Feb. 7 to 11. Applications are now being accepted for the Diamond Hitch Parade, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 11. The Diamond Hitch Parade consists of at least four skiers who hold onto the points of a rope tied in the shape of one or more diamonds. The rope may be pulled by animals, people or vehicles through the snow-filled streets of downtown Steamboat Springs. Anyone is welcome to participate. To register, stop by the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club offices or call 879-0695, ext. 100.

Christmas tree recycling available at Howelsen

Recycle your Christmas trees this month in the northeast corner of the parking lot at Howelsen Ice Arena. Please remove all decorations. Call Yampa Valley Recycles at 870-7575 for more information.
