Steamboat Springs The Steamboat Midget hockey team finished 2-0 during the weekend after wins against Telluride and Craig.
Against Telluride at Howelsen Ice Arena, Steam-boat broke a scoreless first-period tie when Charlie Smith scored just 15 seconds into the second period to give Steamboat a 1-0 lead.
Austin Fedewa and Clayton Patrick added third-period goals for Steamboat to give the Midgets a 3-0 win. Steamboat goalie Ian Berry stopped all 19 shots he faced.
Playing against Craig in Craig, Steamboat won, 4-3, behind third-period goals from Gus Worden and Fedewa.
Patrick got the scoring started for Steamboat in the first period, and Worden added his first goal of the game on an assist from Fedewa early in the second period.
The Midget team next plays Saturday in Eagle.
