Oak Creek After being compelled to move to the Stagecoach area 10 years ago, Kerry and Dave Eaton are looking forward to helping the newest South Routt residents find their slice of heaven.
"We're so fortunate because we live here," Kerry Eaton said. "This is our playground. It's a great place to live and raise a family."
The Eatons purchased Oak Creek's Town & Country Properties in December 2006 after owner Jane Stitt decided it was time to move on. Stitt owned the real estate business for 13 years.
"When we first moved here, Jane was our broker, and our relationship grew from there," Kerry Eaton said.
Eaton worked with Stitt before she purchased the business.
Rebecca Bailey, another Stagecoach resident and broker associate, works with the Eatons at their downtown Oak Creek store.
Eaton said the trio plans to continue Town & Country Properties' commitment to serving South Routt. Town & Country Properties offers commercial, residential and land listings.
"We really focus on the Stagecoach and South Routt markets because that's where we live," Kerry Eaton said. "These are the people I socialize with on a daily basis who know me and I know them."
In recent years the South Routt market, especially Stagecoach, has continued to grow, breaking records annually.
"It's just booming everywhere," Kerry Eaton said. "There are a lot of changes going on."
Eaton said the Oak Creek and Stagecoach areas are growing the fastest. The company also has listings in Yampa, Phippsburg, Hayden and Craig.
Bailey said the group is approachable and very willing to work with clients' needs.
"I've been out in the snow at 8 a.m. on a Sunday, because that's what it took," Bailey said. "Whatever it takes to get the job done - even if that means snowshoes."
The Eatons and Bailey said that because they live and work in South Routt, they have an advantage in knowing the area better than many other real estate agent.
"We're very knowledgeable in this area because this is our home, too," Kerry Eaton said.
David Eaton said being three of nine South Routt real estate agents is better than being three of 350 in Steamboat Springs.
"We all support each other here," Kerry Eaton said. "We're all co-workers."
