Surveyor becomes group charter member

John C. Noonan, president of Storm King Surveying and Mapping Inc., has become a charter member of the RTRN Chapter of the Professional Land Surveyors of Colorado. The RTRN Chapter will be promoting the creation of a Real Time Reference Network across Colorado, a cooperative system of GPS stations providing data to the public. Noonan is a past member of the P.L.S.C Board of Directors, as well as the secretary-treasurer of the Northwest Chapter of the P.L.S.C.

Chamber names special events director

The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association has named Matt Windt the new special events and sponsorship director.

Windt, a local entrepreneur and co-owner of TV-17 comes to the Chamber with experience at a variety of sales positions in Steamboat. Windt said he is looking forward to returning to his passion, special events marketing. Prior to relocating to Steamboat in 2002, Windt was the special events supervisor for the Killington Ski Area. At Killington, Windt worked closely with the community as well as national sponsors to implement a variety of special events and family activities.

Alpine Bank expands check card program

Alpine Bank announced the newest addition to its Loyalty Visa Check Card collection - the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Card. CMC and Alpine Bank are partnering on the card to help students. Each time the card is used, Alpine Bank donates 10 cents to the CMC Foundation for general scholarships that will benefit nontraditional students.

Alpine Bank started the Loyalty Visa Check Card program in 1997 to reward customer loyalty and to benefit students, teacher and schools needing classroom support.
