Strings in the Mountains festival seeks volunteers
Strings in the Mountains Music Festival is looking for community volunteers for the 2007 season, which runs from June through August. Volunteers work as ushers and in the box office/concession stand. Routt, Moffat VNA offers volunteer training
Join the Visiting Nurse Association in Routt and Moffat counties in its efforts to generate a dependable volunteer contingent of medical and non-medical personnel that is ready to perform various public health services during local, regional, state and possibly national emergencies. A new volunteer training is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18, in Conference Room 1 at Yampa Valley Medical Center. Attendance is required for only one of the days. Library to continue 'It's a Girl Thing' book discussions
Bud Werner Memorial Library will continue its popular "It's a Girl Thing" book discussion series for girls and women this spring. The free program is open to girls ages 10 to 12 and a woman partner such as a mom, grandmother, friend or teacher. Pairs can sign up for one or two discussions.
Program dates are March 2 and April 6. Discussions are from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the library. The library will give each pair a copy of the discussion book to keep. Pre-registration is required. Call 879-0240 or stop by the children's desk.
