Carnival attracts crowds despite rain

Winter Carnival 2007 may go down in history as one of the largest carnivals the event has seen during its 94 years. Rick DeVos, executive director of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, said he is optimistic that the club may have sold more than 6,000 buttons during the days leading up to and the weekend of the Winter Carnival. At Saturday's Night Extravaganza, someone made an announcement that the Winter Carnival buttons, which are sold to support the Winter Sports Club, had been sold out.
