Newspaper's Editorial Board seeks new members
The Steamboat Pilot & Today is accepting letters of interest from readers who would like to serve as community representatives on the newspaper's Editorial Board from Jan. 1 through April 30.
The Editorial Board includes two community representatives and four members of the newspaper staff. Newspaper staff members on the board include Publisher Bryna Larsen, editor Brent Boyer, city editor Mike Lawrence and reporter Tom Ross. The Editorial Board formulates the Our View opinions expressed on the ViewPoints page of the newspaper. The Editorial Board meets at 10 a.m. Tuesdays.
Readers interested in serving on the Editorial Board should send a letter of 500 words or fewer expressing their interest to Boyer at firstname.lastname@example.org or to P.O. Gollings exhibit under way at Steamboat Art Museum
The Steamboat Art Museum presents the E.W. (Bill) Gollings exhibit through April 13, 2008. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. The museum is at 807 Lincoln Ave. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students and $10 per family. Entry is free to members. Call 870-1755.
'Financial Peace University' course offered
"Financial Peace University," a 13-week class aimed at helping families struggling with debt, will begin Jan. 14 at the United Methodist Church in Steamboat Springs. Free previews of the course will be offered at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 30 and at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at the church.
There is a $95 charge for the class.
Financial Peace University is a program developed by noted author and radio personality Dave Ramsey, author of the book, "The Total Money Makeover."
