Man dies on Yampa River Core Trail
A 63-year-old Wassaw, Wis., man died Wednesday afternoon after he collapsed while walking along the Yampa River Core Trail.
Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg said Robert Bumpus was walking with his wife near the Fish Creek Mobile Home Park when he dropped to his knees.
Ryg said Bumpus did not have any known medical conditions and that there was nothing suspicious about his death.
"It appears he died of natural causes," he said.
An autopsy is pending.
