Sarah Fox
Age: 24
Occupation: Vice President / LEED Accredited Professional of Fox Construction, Inc.
Place of birth: Steamboat Springs
Q. When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?
A. Born and raised in beautiful Steamboat Springs. Lived in Fort Collins for four years to get my bachelors degree and was lucky enough to come back to my hometown.
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?
A. Being a young woman in the construction industry and taking over the family business.
Q. Describe your morning routine.
A. I wake up every morning between 4 and 5 a.m. and go directly to work. That way, I get a couple of hours in before everyone else starts their day. Occasionally, I get a 60-minute workout in before going to work.
Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?
A. The book "Pivot" by Alan Zimmerman helped me to realize I need to have a positive attitude in all situations.
Q. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
A. You can achieve anything you set your mind to, as long as you have the compassion and desire.
Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?
A. I try to find the best in every situation. I'm very friendly and outgoing. Overall I enjoy everything I do.
Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?
A. I would invite God, Wayne Gretzky, Walt Disney and Tim McGraw. Weird combination, but somehow I think we'd have enough to talk about.
Q. In the Meatloaf song, "I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that," what is that?
A. Having a pet snake
Q. What was your first job?
A. I was an entrepreneur, finding snails in the woods when I was 8 and selling them to the neighbors. All the neighbors usually paid us to take them away from their gardens. Then, I started working at Fox Construction as an office assistant.
Q. What is your favorite thing to do in Routt County?
A. Playing hockey, skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, green living, spending time with friends, reading and finding new things to do.
