Friday, Aug. 24
12:36 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported near Lincoln Avenue and High Point Drive.
7:49 a.m. A woman reportedly saw a drunken driver near Colorado Highway 131 and Routt County Road 14. The driver was stopped and given a warning for driving erratically.
7:56 a.m. A man reported someone stealing a car from near C.R. 3 and C.R. 5 in Toponas.
8:41 a.m. A lost property report was taken in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.
10:50 a.m. A loose dog was taken to the shelter from the 400 block of Tamarack Drive.
11:08 a.m. A man complained about cars being parked on both sides of Medicine Springs Drive and that buses could not get through. The cars were gone when officers arrived.
11:11 a.m. A man reported losing his wallet Aug. 23 somewhere in Steamboat Springs.
11:38 a.m. Officers directed traffic for a funeral procession.
12:12 p.m. Officers gave someone a warning for playing loud music in the 1500 block of Woodbridge Court.
12:56 p.m. A 19-year-old Colorado Mountain College student was taken to the hospital after he wrecked on his longboard.
1:49 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue. One driver was cited for unsafe backing.
1:58 p.m. A driver reportedly hit a sign in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. No injuries were reported.
1:58 p.m. A man reportedly was interviewing women at a bar in the 3100 block of Lincoln Avenue "for modeling purposes." A report was taken.
2:32 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 40000 block of Anchor Way.
2:40 p.m. Someone registered as a sex offender at the police department.
3:53 p.m. A dog was running in traffic west of Steamboat Springs.
4:14 p.m. Deputies checked on someone in the 600 block of Fifth Street in Yampa.
4:16 p.m. Two people reportedly were arguing about ongoing traffic issues near Downhill Drive and Jacob Circle. Officers mediated the argument.
4:54 p.m. A woman reported someone stealing her car from the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
8:22 p.m. A group of teens reportedly was vandalizing bicycles in the 200 block of Howelsen Parkway. The complaint was unfounded.
9:26 p.m. A barking dog was reported near Ninth and Yahmonite streets.
11:50 p.m. A 54-year-old Omaha, Neb., woman was arrested near Mount Werner Road and Mount Werner Circle on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, weaving and disregarding a stop sign.
11:55 p.m. A 32-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested near Lincoln Avenue and Dream Island Plaza on suspicion of driving while ability impaired and driving with defective tail lamps.
