Steamboat Springs Off the Beaten Path on the market
Off the Beaten Path Bookstore, Coffeehouse & Wine Bar owners Dick and Leslie Ryan confirmed their business - and the distinctive, baby blue Victorian building it occupies - are for sale.
Dick Ryan said the building at 56 Seventh St. is under contract but hasn't closed. The business has received a few nibbles, but no offers, Dick Ryan said. Off the Beaten Path Bookstore has been a downtown icon since the Ryans built it in 1990.
Leslie Ryan said they are selling the business and building because they are retiring.
"My husband is 74, and we've been doing this for a long time," she said.
The Ryans declined to comment further, saying it would be premature.
