Waller nominated to ABA board of directors
Steamboat Springs The American Bankers Association has nominated Peter Y. Waller to its board of directors. Waller is the president and CEO of First National Bank of the Rockies.
"It is truly an honor to be selected by my peers as a board candidate," Waller said. "As the largest banking trade association in the country, the ABA is a highly influential and prestigious organization in which I'm proud to serve."
The official election of board members will take place during the association's annual convention in San Diego this October. Waller previously has held various positions within the American Bankers Association, including his ongoing role as one of two Colorado delegates on the governmental relations council and as a direct council banker. Waller is a former chairman of the board for the Colorado Bankers Association.
Market on the Mountain switches cooking oil
Associated Food Stores, operator of 350 grocery delis in the U.S., announced that it has switched from Bunge Oils to Nutra-Clear NT cooking oil in all of its stores. Market on the Mountain, at 2500 Village Drive in Steamboat Springs, is part of the Associated Food Stores family. The company claims the oil has zero trans fat and very little saturated fat.
"Our customers have come to love the taste of the foods that the delis at Associated Food Stores serve, so it was very important that we maintain those, while also working to make our foods healthier," said Barry Holinski of Associated Food Stores.
New gun, pawn shop opens doors in Hayden
Woodrow's Gun and Pawn Shop recently opened in Hayden. The shop, owned by Woodrow Travis, is at 118 South Walnut St. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
