Where are candidates?

If you think this Board is so bad, where are all the candidates flocking to oust them? Where's that "80%" that needs to be represented?

Decision makes no sense

The main floor of the Learning Center should sit empty instead of adding three more apartments. That makes no sense. Rentals are hard to come by in OC and the top floor already has apartments.

Anyone who voted against this evidently has a problem with Mr. Wedel, not his ideas.

Maintaining uniqueness

A formula ordinance, could go a long way toward maintaining uniqueness which is an important component in attracting visitors and one which does not have to be applied the same way in all parts of town. This can be accomplished by limiting the concentration of formula business in any one area and requiring them to make the visual presentation they offer more unique to the market.

Vote no on rec center

Building a rec center without raising taxes means no money to fix the streets, no money to fix the water main, no money to fix the sewage plant, no money to put out the fire and no money to fix the traffic problem. The only way is to raise taxes. They are asking 34 million for the rec center. Is that their final figure? What does it cost to staff and maintain such a facility? What will it cost you to use it? Vote no in November!

Shuttle bus a good idea

If they do the times for the shuttle correctly and have enough seats for the people that need it at those times I think its an awesome idea! I'm moving to Stagecoach soon and not having to drive would be great (nevermind that my dog comes to work with me and I doubt would be allowed on a bus)

How many people here actually carpool to work? Look at the cars coming from Craig and Oak Creek. See anyone else besides the driver? Probably not. I think its worth a shot!

Moratorium does nothing

Please, please, please let's not be hasty. A 90 day moratorium does nothing to stop a development plan, a developer can just include it in their timeline, and it puts impediments to bring some of the older houses in town into safer and move environmentally friendly condition.

Better would be incentives to save the character of old town, help people to write grants to preserve what we have, or give tax credit to those that build in character with their neigborhood. Credit is already given for 'green' building so why not work in that direction.
