Steamboat Springs Skiers and riders have just a few more hours to purchase a season pass at the Steamboat Ski Area at discounted prices.
Through 5 p.m. today, Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. is offering its lowest prices on the 2007-08 Steamboat Season Pass, Super Value Pass and the Rocky Mountain Ultimate Pass.
"With all that's going on this winter, make sure you don't miss out on all the new improvements as well as the best price around," said Andy Wirth, executive vice president of sales and marketing and chief marketing officer for Intrawest.
Beginning Thursday and running through Nov. 15, all passes for all age types move up a price point. For an adult pass holder, ages 18 to 69, this means a season pass bump from $949 to $1,294, an ultimate pass bump from $999 to $1,344 and an extra $50 added to each of the three Super Value Pass types (10, 15 or 20 days).
The Rocky Mountain Ul-timate Pass includes unlimited skiing and riding at fellow Intrawest resorts, Winter Park and Copper Mountain.
Passes will then move up another price point from Nov. 16 to April 4.
Steamboat Ski Area spokesperson Heidi Thomsen said that buying passes online is the most convenient method of purchasing, but that buyers are welcome to show at the Main Ticket Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (free parking available in the Gondola Square Parking Garage). Passes also can be purchased by calling 970-871-5252 or 800-922-2722.
While she could not cite exact numbers, Thomsen said that so far, "sales overall have been encouraging for all passes."
