Steamboat Springs A year of hard work paid off for Routt County's 4-H youths Saturday as 53 projects were selected for the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo.
Karen Massey, a Routt County extension agent, said 4-H youths presented 112 projects during Saturday's 4-H Exhibit Day at Soroco High School.
"The projects this year were diverse and impressive," she said. The projects "included recycled clothing, veterinary science exhibits, visual art portfolios, hand-woven garments, leather craft projects, fresh baked goodies and even a hand built computer."
Saturday also featured a Fashion Revue and awards ceremony that drew 150 people, she said. More than 40 girls presented clothing during the fashion show, she said.
