A burglary suspect who allegedly stole as much as $1,000 worth of property in two recent residential burglaries was arrested Friday night in Hayden. The suspect's name was withheld because the suspect is a juvenile.
Hayden police Chief Ray Birch said officers spotted the suspect near Jackson Avenue and Second Street and carried out a warrant arrest. A search warrant served July 27 in the 400 block of Jackson Avenue turned up stolen property from residential burglaries that occurred in June and July. Birch said the suspect lived in the house that was searched.
One of the burglaries was on the south end of town, and the other was on the west end, Birch said. Not all of the stolen property has been recovered.
The juvenile, 15, was transported to a juvenile detention facility in Grand Junction.
