Pet waste removal service ready for business

Steamboat Springs A dog lover has opened a new business to assist dog owners with pet waste.
Joe Ross will give customers estimates before doing the job. Most yards are done for around $20. Multiple residences cost a minimum of $50.

LIFT-UP Donation Center closed for spring break
The LIFT-UP Donation Center will be closed this week for spring break. LIFT-UP will resume receiving donations May 1 during normal hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 879-3374.
Dialogue Before Decision to host open forum
Dialogue Before Decision, the 2008 project of the Leadership Steamboat Class, will host an open forum about a community recreation center from 7 to 9 p.m. May 2 at Steamboat Mountain Theater. If you have questions that you feel need to be addressed at the forum, please submit them to dialoguebeforedecision@hotmail.com.

caregivers seeks members
Anyone interested in joining a support group for caregivers of people with neurological disorders is asked to call Carol Gordon of Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association at 870-3232.
VNA to hold immunization clinics for adolescents
Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association will hold immunization clinics for adolescents ages 11 to 18 each Wednesday during May from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Steamboat VNA office, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101. Vaccinations will be offered for Meningococcal (offered only to students age 11 to 12 years old, freshmen entering high school or graduating seniors attending college in fall 2007), Tdap (tetanus booster), Hepatitis A and HPV for females. No appointment is necessary. Students younger than 18 must have a parent present and bring their vaccine records. The VNA charges a sliding scale of up to $14 per shot. A Spanish interpreter is available May 14 and May 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. Call 879-1632.
Free Twinrix vaccinations available to eligible adults
Free Twinrix (Hepatitis A and B) vaccinations are available to adults 18 and older who have certain risk factors and have not previously had these vaccinations. Eligible recipients include adults who have had more than one sex partner in the past six months, have had a recent STD, use illegal drugs or those who are from a less developed country. Call the Visiting Nurse Association at 879-1632 to receive vaccination protection against hepatitis. The VNA office is at 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101.
