Cabaret 2007 fundraiser tickets now on sale

Tickets are on sale for Cabaret 2007, an Arts Council fundraiser and local comedy revue. This year's theme is "The Times Are A-Changin'" and will be held May 17 to 19 at Steamboat Mountain Theater. Reserved seating ticket prices are $40 for opening night and $30 for Friday and Saturday shows.) Call 879-9008.

Volunteers needed to finish log cabin renovations

The World Park Educational Institute is seeking volunteers for finishing renovations on a small educational log cabin and natural products research lab. Part-time volunteers are needed for light carpentry, cabinetry, ranch work, cultivation of herbs, work in research gardens, grant writing, bookkeeping, lab work and other jobs. Tickets available for Carpenter's Ball on May 12

The second annual Carpenter's Ball is at 6:30 p.m. May 12 at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. Tickets are $60 a person or $900 for a corporate table. All proceeds benefit Routt County Habitat for Humanity. For more information or to RSVP, call 871-6101.

CMC offering Equine Health Management class

Colorado Mountain College is offering Equine Health Management, a course introducing methods of prevention, recognition and treatment of common horse diseases. This course also covers West Nile Virus in the Yampa Valley and is taught by Dr. Mike Gotchey. The class is held from 7 to 9:50 p.m. Thursdays through May 3 in Bristol Hall, Room 118. Deadline for vocal

scholarship is May 1

Emerald City Opera is accepting applications for its Graduating Senior Vocal Scholarship. ECO annually awards one vocal scholarship to a graduating high school senior from Routt County who plans to actively continue vocal study at college or university. The deadline to apply is May 1.
