Two local swimmers, who swim for the Moffat County swim team, both helped lead the Bulldogs in a meet at Grand Junction on Saturday.

Kyle Steitz and Cole Worsley both had top 3 finishes in several events.

Cole Worsley finished first in the 200-meter free with a season best time of 1 minute, 57.97 seconds.

He also finished first in the 100-meter fly (58.28) and helped the Bulldogs to a first place finish in the 4x100 meter relay and second place finish in the 4x50 meter relay.

Steitz, who also was part of the relays finished second in the 200 IM.

"To see the times we're seeing at this time in the season is really great," coach Patti Worsley said. "It's quite an accomplishment at this time of the year."

The Moffat County swim team continues action on Saturday in Denver. Regionals, which take place in Durango, begin the second week of May. The state meet takes place one week after regionals in Fort Collins.
