Dance Theatre accepting scholarship applications

The Steamboat Dance Theatre is now accepting applications for dance scholarships for spring or summer dance. Anyone, child through adult, with financial need is welcome to apply for tuition assistance to study dance. Scholarship Application Forms are available through your local dance teacher or you may download it from www.dance-steamboat.org or call Wendy Smith Mikelsons at 736-1005. Applications may be mailed to SDT, P.O. Box 774284, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477.

Childrens' danceworks sessions begin today

The spring 2007 session for children's danceworks begins today with most classes starting April 13 and running through May 24. Classes in creative dance offered for children ages 2 to 13. Special classes include a parent/toddler class, a Boys Only Workshop with male guest teachers and a Creative Modern Dance class for 9- to 13-year-old girls. Classes are at Northwest Ballet Studio and Perry-Mansfield's Steinberg Pavilion. Call Wendy at 736-1005.

Belly dance classes offered at Northwest Ballet

Belly Dance Classes with Molly Mintun featuring intermediate instruction. Dancers must have previous experience. Event is from 7 to 8 p.m. April 12, at Northwest Ballet, 326 Oak St. Call Molly at 846-2735.

Artisans invited to Hahn's Peak event

The second annual Hahn's Peak Arts, Crafts and Antiques Fair is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25. Anyne who would like space for the fair should call 879-7291. Spaces are $30 each with proceeds benefiting the Hahn's Peak Historical Society.

4-H Routt County looking for new members

Membership enrollment is ongoing for Routt County 4-H. Routt County 4-H membership is open to any youth in the Routt County area, regardless of race, color, creed, sex, national origin or disabled condition. Participants must be between the ages of 5 and 18 as of Jan. 1, 2007. Stop by the Routt County Extension Service Office in the Courthouse Annex or call 879-0825 for more information.
