Friday's lift ticket winner announced

Judy Kline of Steamboat Springs was Friday's lift ticket winner for the Steamboat Pilot & Today's joint promotion with the Ski and Resort Corp. Wrestling meeting planned for Tuesday

The Yampa Valley Wrestling Club will host a organizational meeting and mixer at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 3) at Steamboat Springs Middle School. The meeting is for anyone interested in joining or supporting the wrestling club and will cover the details of the upcoming season, which is scheduled to begin practice Oct. 10.

The Yampa Valley Wrestling Club is open to wrestlers of all ages, but it is primarily focused on athletes from kindergarten through the eighth grade.

The club plans to host an Intermountain League Tournament on Dec. 3 and has invited Olympic gold medalist Rulon Gardner to Steamboat for a clinic on Nov. 30.

Recycle bins available for old telephone books

Recycle old telephone books at City Market, Central Park Plaza, from Sunday through Saturday, Oct. 7. Cardboard bins will be available outside the store.

LIFT-UP to distribute USDA Commodities

LIFT-UP of Routt County will distribute USDA Commodities for the fourth quarter beginning Monday at its offices in Steamboat Springs, Oak Creek and Hayden. Each eligible household may receive The Emergency Food Assistance Program foods once per quarter. Food will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 870-8804 between 1 and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for more information about income eligibility and hours of operation for each office.
